Wyatt Davis declares for NFL Draft

Ohio State offensive guard Wyatt Davis announced his decision to declare for the 2021 NFL draft on Monday.

The news and announcements of Ohio State players’ decisions on what to do with the NFL draft are coming fast and furious. We’ve already heard from a number of Buckey players on what they will be doing, and now we have one of the biggest ones, offensive lineman Wyatt Davis.

According to an announcement he made on Twitter — and to nobody’s surprise — he has declared for the 2021 NFL draft.

Davis flirted with heading to the NFL last season when the Big Ten shelved the 2020 season, but then did a 180 degree turn when it was reinstated. That was after he already decided to come back for another year after the 2019 season.

He was already known as one of the best guards in the entire draft, and that won’t change after the abbreviated COVID-19 season. Many draft experts have him easily graded out as a first-rounder. He is an All-Big-Ten performer, multiple First Team All-American, and was named to the Big Ten Network’s All-Decade team while still polishing off his playing career.

Davis took to Twitter to thank many along the way, including Buckeye fans for the time he spent at Ohio State that will have an impact on him far beyond the years he played in the scarlet and gray.

We’ll have more on Davis and where he stacks up among others in the 2021 NFL draft as the annual spectacle draws closer.
