The Big 12 has been an attractive landing spot for transfers this offseason.

Tarik Black, Wide Receiver, Texas
Michigan transfer Tarik Black landed in a perfect position in regards to the potential to make an immediate impact. The wide receiver group in Austin is lacking experience and leadership, and that’s exactly what Black can bring.
Texas is confident in the slot position with playmakers Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington, but Black can compete for a starting role on the outside among Joshua Moore, Brennan Eagles, and Marcus Washington.
Offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich has demonstrated in the past that he can get pass happy at times, so you can expect the Longhorns to be targeting their playmakers through the air quite often. He’s vocally stated that he wants to put up 45 points a game in order to compete in Big 12.
Black was originally a four-star recruit out of the 2017 recruiting class and the No. 1 overall player in the state of Connecticut. He started nine games for Michigan, but struggled with foot injuries throughout his first two seasons. He still managed to bring in 25 receptions for 323 yards and a touchdown last fall amidst underwhelming quarterback play.
