4. Clay Cundiff TE Redshirt Freshman
Wisconsin’s top two tight ends entering the 2020 season are expected to be Jake Ferguson and Cormac Sampson. But in order for Wisconsin’s offense to have success, the Badgers are going to need a third to step up. That player could be Cundiff who appeared in one game a season ago against Central Michigan. Cundiff came into Wisconsin as a better receiver than a blocker and in order for him to see the field, he’ll need to continue to improve in this area. Spring practice will allow him to continue to work on his blocking assignments in order to earn the trust of tight end’s coach Mickey Turner. Cundiff if he has added the necessary strength and is able to show that he can hold his own and help create rushing lanes over spring practice will help him earn additional reps once fall camp begins.
