We’re less than two weeks away from toe meeting leather to start the 2023 college football season, and both preseason polls have now been released.
LSU enters the year with much higher expectations than it did last fall. After beginning 2022 unranked, the Tigers come into 2023 as a top-five team according to the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, as well as ESPN’s Football Power Index.
The media concurs, and the preseason AP Top 25 is similarly high on coach Brian Kelly’s group as it looks to defend an SEC West division title in Year 1 in Baton Rouge. Here’s how the full rankings stand entering the season.
