The Texas Longhorns are 12-1 following a huge road win over the Oklahoma Sooners. After navigating a tough nonconference schedule the team is about to face a new test altogether.
Acting head coach Rodney Terry’s team is set to face a three game stretch that features Kansas State, Oklahoma State and No. 18 TCU. If none of those games piqued your interest, you’re starting to catch on to the battle the Longhorns are facing.
Kansas State has been a good team by all accounts this season. The Wildcats have quietly compiled a 12-1 record on the year. Because of struggles in recent seasons, it’s easy to see why some hesitate to give the team due credit.
Oklahoma State has posed issues for Texas in recent seasons, especially early on in the conference schedule. Both OSU and TCU will seek resume building wins against the Longhorns.
Rodney Terry has done well as acting coach, compiling a 5-0 record on the year. He will need to keep the team focused to navigate the next three games unscathed.
