While Michigan and Ohio State met only once in the regular season, the two rivals matched up once again in the postseason, in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals with a championship game berth on the line.

It was a battle, with both teams battling it out on the defensive side of the ball. After a low-scoring first half, someone had to bring a little something extra in the second.

Unfortunately for Michigan, its offense only had a slight uptick, whereas Ohio State took it to another level in the second half. With Franz Wagner fouling out with 5:17 remaining, it was unlikely that the Wolverines would be able to recover from a double-digit deficit.

Yet, they almost did, cutting it to 1 with the final possession in their hands. However, an errant 3 missed and Michigan lost, 68-67, to be eliminated from the Big Ten Tournament.

Here’s what head coach Juwan Howard had to say after the game.
