Week 3 Amway Coaches Poll: Texas drops one spot, Big Ten added back

Going into Big 12 play, Texas will be ranked No. 9 in the Coaches Poll. Auburn has yet to play a game but jump Texas in the latest poll.

After getting a dominant win against UTEP in Week 2, Texas had a bye week before Big 12 plays begins. Only one Power Five conference, the ACC, had a full slate of games.

Going into the Texas Tech matchup, Texas will be ranked No. 9 in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. Despite the fact that Auburn has yet to play a game, they jumped Texas in the latest poll.

As for the rest of the Big 12, Oklahoma stays put at No. 3. Oklahoma State fell six spots to No. 18 after a nervy performance against Tulsa. Baylor, who was No. 24, fell out of the top 25.

Thanks Pac-12 not playing football this season, teams from the conference have been left out of the poll. With the Big Ten restart coming on Oct. 24, they are back ranked in the coaches poll.
