WATCH: Texas DT T’vondre Sweat runs the 40-yard dash at NFL Combine

As RGIII stated, it’s equivalent to a 180-pound defensive back running a 4.26.

All eyes were on Texas defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat at the NFL Combine on Thursday.

Many scouts were curious what Sweat’s weight would be considering he chose not to weigh in at the Senior Bowl roughly a month ago. Once Sweat weighed in at 366 pounds, some were curious how he would test during on-field drills.

Sweat clocked a 5.27 40-yard dash and chose to not run a second attempt. As Robert Griffin III stated, that time for Sweat at 366 pounds is equivalent to a 180-pound defensive back running a 4.26.

The former Longhorn also looked fluid during the four bag agility drill and wave drill. Sweat has been projected to be taken off the board in the second round of many NFL mock drafts. He solidified and/or improved his draft stock at the combine on Thursday.
