Ohio State is back home this Saturday to host the Penn State Nittany Lions and it’s a nighttime contest with OSU donning all-scarlet uniforms. Fans have also been asked to wear scarlet to make for what should be a pretty cool scene on prime time television.
Despite Penn State looking rather challenged last weekend against hapless Illinois, you can almost expect the Nittany Lions to be a more formidable foe than last week. Quarterback Sean Clifford is closer to 100 percent, and Penn State seems to always get up to play the Buckeyes.
OSU head coach Ryan Day knows this as well. He met with the local media Tuesday to preview the matchup with the Nittany Lions and in case you didn’t get to watch and listen to what he had to say, we’re bringing it to you thanks to Ohio State’s link to the press conference on Facebook.
And let’s just say that Ryan Day is 1-0 against James Franklin and Penn State already this week. His press conference at least referenced the right team and location, unlike his combatant James Franklin.
Click to play the complete presser below and hear Day discuss how good the Penn State defense is, touch on some injuries, the team’s mindset at this point in the season, the success of C.J. Stroud, and more.
If you’re looking ahead and trying to make plans, Ohio State will kick things off against Penn State at 7:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
