Speed kills and for [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] 2024 running back commit [autotag]James Peoples[/autotag], he’s got plenty of it.
The Texan is one of the top players in the country, ranking as the 5th best back and 79th overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Part of the reason why Peoples is ranked so high is because of his elite speed.
The 5-foot, 10-inch, 190-pound running back was recently the focus of Reel Analytics, an AI-powered sports tech and data company that analyzes video to measure players’ athleticism. It clocked Peoples going a blazing fast 21 miles-per-hour.
By comparison in one of their other recent clips, former Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs was clocked at 22.3 MPH. That was with three years of college weight lighting and strength and conditioning under his belt.
Ohio State RB commit James Peoples hit a max speed of 21.0 mph (85%ile) on this touchdown. #GoBucks
