Ohio State has officially scored its first touchdown of the 2021 season, and it came on an explosive play. After allowing a few first downs on Minnesota’s first drive, the Buckeye defense forced a punt around midfield, and then offense went to work.
OSU gained a first down, then running back Miyan Williams struck on a 72-yard touchdown scamper to put the Buckeyes up 7-0 up in the Twin Cities. It was just the start Ohio State needed as it travels to play a veteran Golden Gophers squad on the road. Also of note, it was Williams getting the call for the first drive instead of the veteran running back Master Teague.
Watch Williams hit the edge and rumble past all the Minnesota defenders to put the Buckeyes up early.

It’s been a great start to the game for the scarlet and gray. Hopefully, we’ll see more of the same to start out the season 1-0. We’ll keep you posted throughout the game.
