We’re in April and that means we are in the month the NFL draft takes place in Kansas City, Missouri. Ohio State has a few players expected to go in the first round, and one of those is wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
We were robbed of seeing one of the most talented receivers to ever suit up in the scarlet and gray last year because of an early season injury, but we saw enough in 2021 to know what Smith-Njigba can do on a football field. Make no mistake, NFL scouts and executives know it as well.
Smith-Njigba didn’t go through all of the workouts at the NFL combine, but he did a little more at Ohio State pro day, showing his elite route-running, hands and burst.
In case you missed any of what Smith-Njigba did in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, the Ohio State Twitter account showed a recap of his workout in Columbus.

It would be a major shocker if Smith-Njigba fell out of the first round, and we’ll stay close to all of the news and projections leading up to the draft at the end of April, and then on through his selection.
