WATCH: DeVonta Smith with toe-tapping TD

Jones threw a 2-yard bomb to Smith who toe-tapped inbounds and helped the Tide increase their lead by 3 touchdowns going into halftime.

What a way to finish the first half for the Alabama Crimson Tide!

DeVonta Smith scored the last touchdown of the first half, and it was amazing! And it just so happened to be his first touchdown reception of the season as well.

Jones threw a 2-yard bomb to Smith who toe-tapped inbounds and helped the Tide increase their lead by 3 touchdowns going into halftime.

Last season, Smith was splitting reps with Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy, both of which were first-round draft picks.

Smith’s decision to return for his senior year is not only going to help Alabama have a better chance of returning to the College Football Playoff, but it also will give him the opportunity to improve his draft stock.

Even while splitting reps with Jeudy and Ruggs, Smith still recorded an impressive 68 receptions for 1,256 yards and 14 touchdowns, one of which sparked a second-half comeback against the Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl.

It’s going to be exciting to see what Smith continues to do this season!
