Warren Sapp to join Colorado coaching staff next season

The Hall of Fame defensive tackle has not officially been announced by the school, but coach Deion Sanders brought up the hire on Wednesday.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders won’t be the only Pro Football Hall of Famer on the Buffaloes coaching staff in 2024.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp will join the Colorado staff next season, Sanders said Wednesday. The move hasn’t been officially announced by the school yet, but the head coach talked about Sapp during his coach’s show.

“I’m excited about Coach Sapp,” Sanders said. “He’s going to be invaluable… the recruits as well, they’re going to love him.”

Sapp has been around the program unofficially in the 2023 season, and Sanders said he’s already made a big impact on the program. He will likely coach the defensive line in some capacity.
