Veteran NBA guard Patty Mills has somehow been traded between 4 teams in the last 10 days

Patty Mills has got to be tired of being traded this summer.

NBA veteran guard Patty Mills has reportedly joined his fourth team within a matter of a 10 days.

Mills, who won a title with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, played for the Brooklyn Nets from 2021-23 and was reportedly traded to the Houston Rockets at the start of the NBA’s 2023 free agency cycle.

Then, news broke that the Rockets were sending Mills to the Oklahoma City Thunder a day later as part of a bigger deal.

Somehow, the Atlanta Hawks entered the equation on Saturday and reportedly acquired Mills by sending three players (TyTy Washington, Usman Garuba, Rudy Gay) and a draft pick to the Thunder.

Indeed, Mills will join the Hawks for his third trade in the last 10 days, but ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski mentions that the Hawks still aren’t sure if they’ll keep Mills for the long haul.

Mills has got to be tired of being moved around so much and will probably just be happy to land with a team that will want to actually play him this season.

The veteran guard would join a fifth team this offseason if the Hawks decide to trade him or buy out his contract. That’d be quite a wild ride of such an established presence in the NBA.
