Lady Vols golf coach honored with award
Tennessee Volunteers women’s golf coach Judi Pavon will receive the the Gladys Palmer Meritorious Service Award, according to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
The award is the organization’s most prestigious honor, recognizing Pavon’s many years of service to the WGCA. She was a on the Board of Directors from 2007-2014, and served as president from 2010-2012.
Pavin has led the Lady Vols program for over 19 years, making the NCAA tournament every season and advancing to the National Championship a dozen times. Over that period, she also has had 29 All-American honorees, 60 All-SEC honorees and 51 All-American Scholar accolades.
