Tennessee women’s volleyball rally past Razorbacks
The Lady Vols volleyball team rallied to defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks on the road for a a five-set victory yesterday.
Down 2-1 after three frames, Tennessee turned things around in the final two sets to win for the third time in the last four matches. The victory moves the Volunteers to just one-half game behind Ole Miss in the conference standings.
The Lady Vols were led by junior middle blocker Addisyn Rowe, who paced the team with a season-high 16 kills. Four others finished with double-digit kills, including a double-double performance from sophomore outside hitter Lily Felts, who posted 14 kills and 12 digs. Senior outside hitter Tessa Grubbs tallied double-figure kills with 12 in the match, the 42nd time in 44 matches she has managed the feat.
The team now heads into a nine-day break, after which they face the Crimson Tide for the second time in 11 days — this time at Thompson-Boling Arena. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET and will air on SEC Network+.
