USA Today Sports predicts Alabama to play in CFB Playoff Title Game

In the latest bowl projections by USA Today, Alabama is projected to play in the title game. But against who?

The Alabama Crimson Tide hasn’t even played in their first game yet, but they’re still being named as a favorite to win it all this season.

And for good reason.

When you think of the talent returning on both sides of the ball for the Crimson Tide, as well as the new freshman joining the team, Alabama has amazing potential to not only make it back to the College Football Playoff, but also to win a national championship.

And USA Today agrees.

In the latest bowl projections, Alabama is projected to play in the title game.

But against who?

None other than… the Clemson Tigers.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Alabama might be facing Clemson again.

But in order for the Crimson Tide to face Clemson in the title game, they will have to win the first game of the Playoff first.

USA Today has Alabama facing Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl, beating them, and then facing Clemson.

But, there’s still an entire season to play.

And like USA Today Sports said themselves, “With the bowl schedule in flux, this year’s projections will adjust and start with the New Year’s Six game with the possibility of adding other postseason matchups as they are confirmed.”

Time will tell what will happen, but until then, Alabama has to focus on continuing to prepare for the season opener against Missouri on September 26th.

If Alabama wants to make it back to the CFB Playoff, no game can be overlooked.
