1961 Texas Longhorns (Number 101)
The 1961 team joins the list at number 101. This was a memorable team given that this was the first year that the Longhorns wore the Bevo logo on their helmets while finishing 10-1 on the season. Once again they finished the year with a Cotton Bowl victory over Ole Miss 12-7. Jimmy Saxton was named Consensus All-American.
1947 Texas Longhorns (Number 90)
Making the list as the number 90 team on the countdown, the 1947 Longhorns finished the season with a 10-1 record and defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl 27-7. That season Bobby Layne was named Consensus All-American and Sugar Bowl MVP. Another notable member of the Longhorns team was future legendary coach Tom Landry.
