USA TODAY analyst: Andrew Vorhees is one of the top steals of the 2023 NFL draft

.@MikeMSchwartz identified 13 #NFLDraft steals. Andrew Vorhees is one of them. #RavensFlock

If Travis Dye and Brett Neilon had not gotten hurt, they would have been drafted this past weekend. Andrew Vorhees of USC is so good that he was drafted in spite of an injury which will prevent him from playing in 2023. Vorhees won’t be suited up on Sundays this coming fall, but he is expected to make a full recovery. If he is fit and ready for 2024, he could give the Baltimore Ravens a high-quality player with a seventh-round selection.

This sets him apart as one of the steals of the 2023 draft, according to USA TODAY Sports NFL editor Mike Schwartz, who wrote the following:

“A torn ACL suffered at the NFL scouting combine might have significantly weighed down Vorhees’ stock, though the second-team All-American already had an extensive injury history prior to that. His rookie season likely will be a wash, but the 6-6, 310-pound blocker with 48 starts at USC was surely worth a flier. If he can bounce back and stay healthy, Vorhees has the toughness and savvy to stick around in the NFL.”
