The 2023 Met Gala gets underway on May 1, bringing a parade of celebrities to New York City as the Metropolitan Museum of Art puts on its elaborate fundraiser. This year’s theme — “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” — honors the controversial designer that spent decades in the field.
