University of Alabama cancels all 2020 Summer Football Camps

On Saturday, Alabama announced that all 2020 summer football camps were cancelled due to the coronavirus.

This news came after the SEC announced that hosting or conducting of all in-person camps & coaches clinics for the universities is suspended thru July 31.

The University of Alabama will be contacting those who had registered online.

The Crimson Tide Foundation/Nick Saban Football Camp is a non-contact, skills teaching camp that is designed to give each athlete a solid foundation in the football fundamentals needed to excel at his position.

As the camp website from 2019 shares, “Led by Coach Saban and his staff, each player will receive hands-on instruction as he participates in drills and practice simulating those of the Crimson Tide Football Team. As a camper you will receive the same expert coaching that every Alabama player receives.”

It’s also important to note that all all other in-person athletics activities, including practices, meetings & other organized gatherings remain suspended thru May 31.

In March, Nick Saban took to twitter to share some words of encouragement during these difficult times:

“We are in this together. And as one team, we will get through these difficult times. And together, we look forward to all that’s to come.. like the opportunity to play college football this fall. But the best and safest way to ensure that happens, is to listen to the experts, follow their guidelines, and take care of each other. Stay safe and Roll Tide!”

Roll Tide Wire will keep you up to date on the very latest on all things Crimson Tide.
