UGA football loses another 2023 4-star commit

Georgia Bulldogs have lost a commitment from wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. UGA’s second decommitment in a short period of time.

Georgia Bulldogs have lost a commitment from wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. Sorey is a member of the class of 2023 and is ranked as the No. 14 wide receiver in his class. Sorey is considered a four-star recruit and the No. 97 overall prospect.

Sorey stars for Chipley High School in Chipley, Florida. He previously played at football Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida.

Sorey is a three-sport athlete that plays football, track, and basketball. Georgia losing wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton to LSU certainly hurt the Bulldogs in their recruitment for the four-star wide receiver.

The younger Sorey has received recruiting interest from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn,  Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and several more schools.

Sorey started for the varsity football team as an eighth-grader. He shows impressive ability to track the ball in his highlights. On top of that, Sorey is a solid route runner and is great at gaining separation at the high school level.  He’s 6-foot-2 and weighs 185 pounds.

Sorey announced his decision to decommit from UGA via his Twitter account:
