The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart have added another commitment, wide receiver De’Nylon Morrissette. Morrissette is an in-state prospect who plans to attend North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, for the 2021 football season.
Morrissette committed to Georgia over Alabama, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Oregon, South Carolina, Florida and USC. His decision is not shocking, but Morrissette is very talented and could immediately earn playing time at Georgia.
The North Cobb student-athlete played high school football for Brookwood, which is located in Snellville, Georgia. At Brookwood, he practiced against defensive back Marquis Groves-Killebrew, who is committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Before attending Brookwood, De’Nylon Morrissette played for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Jamon Dumas-Johnson, an incoming freshman linebacker at the University of Georgia, also played for St. Frances Academy.
Morrissette is Georgia’s 13th commitment in the class of 2022. The Dawgs have the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class.
The four-star wide receiver recruit came onto the scene with a strong start to the season last year. Morrissette made his decision in a special commitment video:
