Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was on-hand for his alma mater’s 10-3 loss to Georgia in the season-opener in Charlotte on Saturday night. It was bad enough that Lawrence had to watch a game in which Clemson couldn’t find the end zone, but what came after the game was arguably even worse for him.
He apparently lost a bet with Jaguars teammate Terry Godwin, who played for Georgia in college, and had to show up to the Jags facility on Monday morning decked out in Bulldogs gear.
Godwin, who was placed on the injured reserve in June, uploaded a video of the event to his Instagram story.
NFL players. Former Tigers. Former ‘Dawgs. Bet @TerryGodwin_4 was smiling big and proud of his school this weekend. Trevor makes that red look like a No. 1 overall pick, too. pic.twitter.com/hTdiSYn8xN

Clemson probably wished it had Lawrence on the sidelines in that one, as his replacement, D.J. Uiagalelei, struggled against the ferocious Georgia front, completing just 19 of his 37 passes for 178 yards and a pick. He was sacked seven times as the Tigers’ offensive line had no answer for the UGA pass rush.
After watching that disappointing offensive performance, having to wear the opponent’s colors just adds insult to injury for Lawrence.
