Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White has officially been called the 47th best-overall player in the NFL.
The NFL confirmed that on Monday, releasing the results from their yearly survey of the league’s players. White joins two of his teammates who already appeared on the list. Those two are both on offense, quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
White, an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2019, led the league with six interceptions last season, tied with the Patriots’ Stephon Gilmore and Vikings’ Anthony Harris. Those honors seemed like a long time coming for the former first-round pick of the Bills, but many were happy to finally see those come.
Of course, now some think that No. 47 overall is too low for White on this list as well.
After earning those national honors early in the offseason, White’s once again seen his fair share of slights. Along with his 47th ranking, the Bills shutdown cornerback also earned a 90 overall in EA Sports’ latest version of the Madden NFL football video game series, Madden 21.
A 90 isn’t bad, but along with White, Gilmore was the other All-Pro cornerback in 2019. He was in the “99 club” for the gamers, one of a handful of guys to crack the top-overall ranking.
But more motivation for Tre is a good problem for Buffalo to have.
Along with his six picks last season, White had 17 passes defensed, 54 tackles, two forced fumbles, four tackles for loss and one sack.
