CURRENT PROJECTION: Undrafted

Few college basketball players had a rougher season for their draft stock than former Kentucky freshman Kahlil Whitney did in 2019-20. He was a five-star recruit who projected as a Top-20 pick before the season began.

Whitney averaged 21.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game on the AAU D-I circuit in 2018-19. But the wing played just eighteen games for the Wildcats, making only eight appearances in the starting lineup before leaving the program due to a diminished role on the team.

Worse yet, Whitney struggled on the floor in the games that he did play for Kentucky. He shot just 27.8% on jump shots, per Synergy, and was 7-for-26 (26.9%) from midrange.

He recently told 247 Sports that he has not made a decision on whether he will transfer or go pro. But as of right now, his draft stock indicates that a fresh start for another team would likely be a wiser choice.
