Top-fifty 2022 prospect Jalon Walker includes Ohio State in top six

One of the class of 2022’s top high school football linebackers, Jalon Walker, has included Ohio State in his top six.

The class of 2022’s No. 2 rated outside linebacker has included Ohio State in his top six. Jalon Walker, out of Salisbury High School in North Carolina, is the No. 41 overall prospect in the recruiting cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He’s a high four-star recruit, and at 6-foot, 2-inches, and 220 pounds, he’s an athletic framed linebacker that will continue to add muscle and has the potential to be a field-roaming playmaker for whatever program he chooses. Also in his top six are North Carolina, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and Clemson.

There is no timetable yet for Walker’s commitment, and he’ll surely want to get on Ohio State’s campus if and when the dead recruiting period eases because of coronavirus pandemic, but we’ll keep an eye on any further news that comes out. In the meantime, being a part of these college football superpowers results in a lot of competition for his services.

But we’ve seen Ohio State pull these types of prospects in time after time, so it’s clearly not just a token name drop. There will be more on his recruitment in the near future.
