On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns beat the Houston Cougars by a score of 31-24.
Although the Longhorns got the win, they may be without their starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. Quinn Ewers injured his shoulder on a scramble and was then taken out of the game in the second half.
Texas started off hot, scoring 21 points before Houston capitalized on a missed fourth-down opportunity by Sarkisian and the offense. After that, it was a dog fight.
Houston battled their way back, making it a competitive game and tying it at 21 a piece on their opening drive after halftime.
Texas’ offense was pretty stagnant after the first quarter. The Longhorns seemed to be out-coached and out-played but still managed to leave Houston with a win, and that’s all that matters.
