WR Devin Funchess
Not a sexy signing, rather a size one. Again, Diggs is a No.1 playmaker for the Bills who will make a contested catch better than the rest of em. But if the Bills do want some size, Devin Funchess could be a bargain-bin add.
And of course, there’s the Bills-Panthers connection here.
Funchess was on the Colts last season, but he is a former second-round pick of the Panthers from 2015. However, the 6-foot-4 target has a decent amount of red flags. He basically missed the entire 2019 season.Funchess had three receptions for 32 yards in Indy’s season opener before suffering a season-ending clavicle injury. Funchess also only had one solid season, in 2017, with 63 catches, 840 yards and eight touchdowns. Every other year he’s left a little more to be desired.
At this point, it doesn’t seem like Funchess would cost much at all, so maybe just give him a chance?
