Top free agent targets still available for the Bills

NFL free agency officially opened on Wednesday, but since the tampering period began on Monday, boy have the Buffalo Bills been busy.

With the addition of Josh Norman, it seems unlikely the Bills would sign another cornerback to a big contract. But the former Bill is still on the market, so maybe?

Prior to joining the Bills, Johnson had a long list of injuries with the Texans, but managed to stay healthy with Buffalo in 2019, appearing in all 16 games. Johnson provided a depth role, but also pushed fellow cornerback Levi Wallace for his starting job. The two, at times, split playing time with Wallace getting slightly more. With that rotation in mind, he did only play in 32 percent of the Bills’ defensive snaps last season, so maybe that’s why teams are worried if he really can stay healthy.

While maybe unlikely he comes back to Buffalo, there’s still always a chance because in the past the Bills have been burned by not having depth at the cornerback position. The Broncos are reportedly interested in adding him, though.
