What made Barkley’s season so impressive was that he came to a team that was already so established and he still made an impact. This team had just won a title recently and still had established guys such as Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks, and Andrew Toney and he immediately made an impact averaging 14.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, and a block per game. It was the beginning of a Hall of Fame career for the Round Mound of Rebound.
