Honorable Mentions
Billy Cunningham 1965-66
Cunningham came to Philadelphia and he helped the Sixers right away averaging 14.3 points and 7.5 rebounds while playing in 80 games. He became a perfect complement to the dominance that was Wilt Chamberlain and he went on to have a solid impact in Sixers history. He lost out on Rookie of the Year to Rick Barry.
Dario Saric 2016-17
“The Homie” finally came over from Croatia and he made a big impact in helping the Sixers begin to show some life in “The Process”. He averaged 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while playing in 81 games and he was a Rookie of the Year Finalist before losing out to Malcolm Brogdon on the award.
