It was well-documented that before Paul Chryst and his staff landed three-star wide receiver Skyler Bell they were without a receiver in their extremely impressive class of 2021.

Well, three-star Markus Allen–one of their main targets at the receiver position–announced yesterday that he was decomitting from Michigan and re-opening his recruitment.

The Clayton, Ohio native is the No. 455 player in the class of 2021, the No. 68 wide receiver and the No. 14 player from his home state of Ohio.

247Sports currently has Cincinnnati as one of the favorites to land Allen though other teams on his offer list include Indiana, Michigan State, West Virginia and Purdue.

With his recruitment now open, Allen quickly took to Twitter to show off his talent and open himself back up to potential destinations.

Also taking to Twitter last night to give thoughts on the decommitment, continuing the recent trend of Wisconsin commits recruiting fellow players via social media, was four-star 2022 linebacker/safety Braelon Allen.

The Badgers’ class of 2021 currently stands at No. 16 in the nation and No. 3 in the Big Ten after landing five-star offensive tackle Nolan Rucci on Tuesday. The potential addition of Markus Allen would only help the class as the program looks to get over the hump and win their first Big Ten title since 2012.
