Typically when the Longhorns have been able to run the ball effectively it has been the quarterback Sam Ehlinger. However, is it possible they found their premier back in freshman Bijan Robinson? On their opening drive and opening play of the game, Robinson busted his longest run of the year. He carried the ball for 54 yards setting the offense up at the WVU 21-yard line. Two Brennan Eagles receptions later and the Longhorns led 7-0.

Robinson finished the day with 113 yards rushing. He averaged 9.4 yards per carry. He had another spectacular run where he spun out of one tackle attempt and stiff-armed his way to another 18 yards. What Robinson showed is what this offense has been missing. He should continue get a bulk of the carries moving forward, the offense looked that much more dynamic with him on the field.

That spin move, I never really used in high school. But I keep going to practice and work on new moves. – Bijan discussing his spin move in the first quarter.
