Texas is picking up steam on the recruiting trail.

Over the past few days, three 247Sports crystal ball predictions were entered in favor of the Longhorns. Keep in mind these predictions don’t always come to fruition, but it’s a great indicator of how close Texas is to landing these prospects.

Two of the recruits are four-star prospects within the 2022 recruiting class. The other is a four-star prospect within the 2023 cycle. Take a look at each players ratings below.

Zac Swanson, DE (2022)

Swanson received an offer from Steve Sarkisian’s staff on Feb. 18, 2021. He’s rated the No. 4 overall prospect from Arizona and a top-20 player at his position according to 247Sports.

Javien Toviano, CB (2023)

Although it’s still very early in Toviano’s recruitment, Texas was the first Power Five program to extend an offer (Nov. 4, 2020). The Arlington native is rated the No. 5 cornerback in the 2023 recruiting class and a top-10 player in Texas according to 247Sports composite.

Tavorus Jones, RB (2022)

Stan Drayton has landed some of the top running backs in the country. Could Tavorus Jones be next? The El Paso native had his 2020 season cut short due to the pandemic, but in 2019 he rushed for 1,134 yards on 116 carries and 15 rushing touchdowns. Jones was named the Texas District 2-5A-II All-Purpose Athlete of the Year as a sophomore.
