Many Badger fans may already be familiar with Cheatham, who spent the first two years of his college career at Marquette. The former Top 100 recruit was a productive player there, garnering Big East All-Freshman Team honors in 2015-16 and starting 58 of 65 games. Cheatham was a solid presence on both ends for the Golden Eagles, averaging 10.3 points per game and earning the team’s Best Defensive Player Award both years.

Cheatham played in five games for Marquette as a junior before deciding to transfer back to his home state of Florida, ultimately setting on continuing his career at Florida Gulf Coast. He would only play in ten games there last year before undergoing season-ending surgery and opting to return to the Midwest to play his final season of eligibility at Nebraska.

The 6-6 guard has been a steady presence for Hoiberg and the Cornhuskers thus far, trailing Mack by just 0.2 points per game for the team lead in scoring and shooting efficiently from both long-range and the field overall.

Cheatham enjoyed success against the Badgers while at Marquette, averaging 12 points per game and knocking down a combined 50 percent of his looks in two games against Wisconsin.
