The 12 Texas players on their way to all-conference honors

Looking at which Texas players could make the All-Big 12 team.

Texas football looks to have turned a corner after last year’s 5-7 season. The success is due in large part to multiple players elevating their play this year.

The Texas defense has been a subplot to Quinn Ewers and the Texas offense, but certainly deserves recognition. Players at every level of the defense are playing high level football.

D’Shawn Jamison and Keondre Coburn are two of the most improved players on the defense. Not only are they playing like All-Big 12 players, but they’ve raised their draft stock considerably.

Barryn Sorrell has been a pleasant surprise for Texas. Sorrell is one of many Longhorns that have thrived at getting to the quarterback.

On offense, if Quinn Ewers is not winning Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, Kelvin Banks Jr might be the top competition. Banks and Cole Hutson have played critical roles in one of the best pass protecting lines in recent history for Texas.

Here are 12 players who might end up with All-Big 12 honors this season.
