Texas’ career Alamo Bowl record is 3-1
Since its creation in 1993, Texas has appeared in the Alamo Bowl four times, tied for the most in its history. Iowa and Oklahoma State are the only other two programs to play in the postseason game four times. Tuesday’s matchup against Colorado will give Texas the most appearances in bowl history.
The 3-1 record also gives the Longhorns the most wins in bowl history. Starting in 2006, when Colt McCoy led Texas to a win over Iowa. Oregon State (2012) and Utah (2019) have also fallen against the Longhorns. 2013’s matchup against Oregon is Texas’ only loss.
