The Texas Longhorns have been potent offensively, averaging just under 39 points per game. The offensive production to this point might be the tip of the iceberg.
Last week, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers showed little rust in his first game back from injury. More help could be on the way this week. Alabama transfer Jahleel Billingsley appears to be on his way to returning following a six-game suspension. His skillset makes the Longhorns even more dangerous.
Billingsley’s strength comes as a receiver, though he could be a more capable blocker than some believe. Xavier Worthy, Jordan Whittington, Ja’Tavion Sanders and Bijan Robinson have proven to be more than capable weapons as pass catchers this season. For that reason, if the talented transfer takes the field he could find himself wide open.
Iowa State is arguably the toughest test the Texas offense will face in conference play. Albeit, Billingsley makes the Longhorns an equal challenge for the Cyclone defense. The dynamic receiver could be returning at the perfect time.
