Spring football is quickly approaching. Several transfers and early enrollees have been acclimating themselves to college life in Austin over the last few weeks.
Practices officially begin on Tuesday, March 22. The practice schedule will remain fairly consistent with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday practices. The 15th practice will be the annual Orange-White spring game, which is scheduled to take place on April 23.
In early February, a few jersey numbers were revealed for newcomers such as Quinn Ewers, Jahleel Billingsley and others. This week, the school updated the 2022 spring football roster which provided a glimpse of jersey numbers as well as position changes and weight fluctuations.
Tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders switched from No. 3 to No. 0 this offseason, while players such as Hudson Card, Keilan Robinson, Jerrin Thompson, Jett Bush, Vernon Broughton, Luke Brockermeyer, Myron Warren, Moro Ojomo, Keondre Coburn, Alfred Collins and Isaiah Hookfin dropped weight.
Several other players added to their frame this offseason, including Gunnar Helm, Christian Jones, Brayden Liebrock and T’Vondre Sweat.
