Texas extended an offer to four-star cornerback Tony Mitchell on Thursday.
Mitchell is the No. 1 player at his position in the 2023 recruiting class and his ratings will likely increase to a five-star prospect as he moves further along the cycle.
The Alabaster, Alabama, native is listed as a top-20 player nationally and the No. 3 overall player in the state according to 247Sports. Although it’s still early on in the process, Mitchell has already compiled an impressive list of offers ranging from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has had a hot start to his recruiting efforts. Now, he must land players of this caliber and produce the results on the field.
