Texas Longhorns vs Oklahoma State: Key defensive players

The Texas Longhorns defense is being tasked with stopping one of the best trios in college football. Who needs to step up for Texas?

Chris Brown, Safety

When it comes to playing teams like Oklahoma State who do so well in space, that puts a lot of pressure on your safety duos. For the Longhorns they need a big game from Chris Brown. If he gets opportunities to take the ball away like he did against Baylor, they have to come down with the football. Sanders gave Iowa State opportunities and Brown needs to strike when the moment presents itself.

If the backs and receivers get into the second level, Brown has to make sure that is where it stops. These receivers average around 84 yards after the catch per game. Texas desperately need to limit big plays in terms of yards after contact and yards after the catch. They likely need to have their best game of tackling to give their offense a chance to win this game.
