Texas’ series history against Kansas has been rather lopsided. The Jayhawks have three career victories against the Longhorns, with two of them coming before World War II began. The famous 2016 Kansas win still resignations in the mind of Texas fans to this day.
Not playing annually until the Big 12 conference dwindled down to 10 teams in 2012, Texas has a 7-1 record in those eight seasons. Despite the wins, all three head coaches in Mack Brown, Charlie Strong, and Tom Herman have had close calls throughout their times.
Second-year head coach Les Miles has struggled this season, winless to this point of the season. After nearly stealing one away in Austin last season, Miles will be looking to get Herman’s number this season.
