Texas linebacker Prince Dorbah and deep snapper Justin Mader will be undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday.
It appears the injuries are minimal, as both players are expected to return for preseason practices. Due to the current landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s unclear if any part of the preseason will take place as scheduled.

Dorbah is expected to compete for playing time immediately as a true freshman this season. The Dallas native was a four-star prospect and the No. 7 overall rated linebacker in the 2020 recruiting class. He’s a lean, athletic, productive pass-rusher who will likely play at the Jack position.
Mader was a three-star prospect out of the 2018 recruiting class and the No. 2 overall rated long snapper in the nation. His role often flies under the radar, but it’s critical to the team’s special teams succes.
