ESPN’s Greg McElroy recently revealed his preseason college football rankings ahead of the 2023 season.
McElroy is notably high on the Big 12 and Pac-12 this season, specifically stating how deep each of the two conferences are. Five Big 12 programs appeared among his Top 25: Texas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma.
Texas is the clear-cut favorite to win the Big 12 title this season, and many believe the Longhorns have the talent to contend nationally in Steve Sarkisian’s third year with the program. McElroy slotted Texas at No. 7, just behind Florida State and LSU.
