Texas hoping to land four-star running back from Houston

Texas has expressed strong interest in four-star running back Jaydon Blue out of Houston.

Texas appears to be in great shape at the running back position moving forward.

Currently, starting running back Keontay Ingram will have to battle for playing time between surprise standout Roschon Johnson and the nation’s No. 1 running back Bijan Robinson.

Four-star running back Jaydon Blue could be the next name to join the mix. Although it’s still early on in the recruiting trail for the 2022 class, Texas has expressed strong interest in the Houston, Texas product.

The 5-9, 192-pound speedster is currently the No. 7 running back in the 2022 recruiting class and the No. 11 overall player in Texas, according to 247Sports. He’s recently received offers from well-respected programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma.

Blue excelled in both football and track at Klein Cain High School in Houston, Texas. He has impressive burst and acceleration to get down field, often making defenders miss at the second level.

247Sports Crystal Ball predictions currently have Blue leaning towards a commitment to Texas with LSU close behind.
