Texas Football: Three position groups that could underwhelm in 2022

The Longhorns need these three groups to step up this season.

Offensive Line

This group was by far the worst position group on the team in 2022, and even with the fantastic class of freshman incoming there is a chance they can still disappoint. At times last season, multiple offensive linemen would come off the field at a time in hopes to find a decent group, but it was to no avail. Christian Jones has been moved to right tackle, which is essentially his last hope of remaining a starter. The left tackle spot should be up for grabs, and really there are only two players who have solidified themselves in Jake Majors and Junior Angilau.

Sarkisian and Kyle Flood likely don’t want multiple freshmen starting right away, but it would not be a surprise if the veterans on the team succumb to the star-studded class of offensive linemen headlined by five-stars Kelvin Banks and Devon Campbell.
