On Monday, several TCU football players began to speak out on social media regarding head coach Gary Patterson.
Former safety Niko Small brought light to the allegations on Twitter, but has since deleted the tweet. Although he claims the deletion was on accident and that he still stands by what he said, other players began chiming in on the topic.
In summary, Niko stated that Patterson used a racial slur when speaking with one of his players. Shortly after, linebacker Dylan Jordan shared a story on Twitter of a recent experience with Patterson.

It’s certainly an unacceptable derogatory term that should not be used under any context. In response to Jordan’s public expression, several teammates such as Derius Davis, Artayvious Lynn, and Joshua Carraway each chimed in to claim that Patterson has never used that term towards any of his players.
Regardless of the truth behind the story, it quickly caught the attention of a few Texas football players and commits. Some of these athletes were likely recruited by Patterson at TCU before choosing to continue their collegiate career in Austin.
