Texas football offers highly-touted linebacker from Manvel

Texas football is targeting highly-touted linebacker Justin Medlock out of Manvel High School.

Texas head coach Tom Herman has signed several highly-rated players in the past few recruiting classes.

He hopes to do the same in 2022 with linebacker Justin Medlock out of Manvel High School. Although it’s too early in the recruiting cycle for national websites such as 247Sports and Rivals.com to release his prospect rating, Medlock has over a dozen offers thus far.

The 6’1, 200-pound playmaker was a first-team all-district selection as a sophomore in 2019. He finished the season with 117 total tackles, eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

This is a critical position of need right now for the Longhorns, as linebacker depth is minimal for Chris Ash’s new-look defense.

Medlock’s older brother Jayce is a tight end at the University of Connecticut, whom have also targeted Justin.
